RESEARCH SHAPES THE FUTURE – A MURAL OF HOPE

In June 2021, the Charles-Bruneau Foundation announced a historic commitment of more than $25 million over five years to fight pediatric cancer in Quebec. This investment by the Foundation has enabled $5.3 million to be donated to The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation (Le Children).

In recognition of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation’s great generosity, The Children’s Foundation offered it a prime visibility opportunity in one of the Hospital’s busiest spaces. The Charles-Bruneau Foundation called on CRI agence to develop an engaging poster concept that would highlight its important support for pediatric hemato-oncology research: Recherche et trouve

Florence, Laurent, Sarah-Lou, Elliot and Mia; children from the four Centres Charles-Bruneau in Quebec, all undergoing treatment, in remission or cured of cancer, shared in words and drawings what the future meant to them. Illustrator Audrey Malo brought their ideas to life. The L’avenir se dessine grâce à la recherche concept was developed to highlight the heart of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation’s mission: research.

Once installed, the work was unveiled to the children, the staff of The Children’s and the Fondation Charles-Bruneau, as well as to Pierre Bruneau. A video, capturing this momentous occasion, was then produced to reflect the entire process and the collaborative work between the various parties involve.
