The Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes will oversee the 2011 CIBC Charles-Bruneau Tour.
Founded in 1960 under the name Union cycliste du Québec, the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes (FQSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to managing and promoting various cycling-related disciplines recognized by national and international bodies.
The FQSC manages competitions throughout Quebec, with a network of close to 400 events per year in various activity sectors.
The FQSC also plays a key role in supporting development and excellence through talent scouting programs, training camps and continued training projects. Thanks to these and other similar initiatives, the FQSC allows tomorrow’s elite athletes to realize their full potential and carve out a place among the best.
While it is by nature competitive, the FQSC’s mandate extends well beyond the bounds of competition. The growing popularity of annual cycling events commonly called “cyclosportifs” has spurred the FQSC to attach greater importance to this active and ever-growing movement. With its technical expertise and experience in event planning, the FQSC is a valued resource for organizers of major cycling events, including the CIBC Charles-Bruneau Tour. The FQSC is proud to be associated with this event, which reflects its continued concern with health.
Actor Paul Doucet will serve as spokesperson for the two-day circuit held as part of the 2011 CIBC Charles-Bruneau Tour. Paul and his team will climb aboard their bicycles to support the good fight waged by children with cancer.
This year, cyclists will enjoy a special opportunity to network by sponsoring their own warmers, complete with their company logo, for the duration of the event. As well, by forming a corporate team (minimum of four members), they will receive free warmers bearing their company logo. For details, please contact Julie Assaly Gauthier at jagauthier@charlesbruneau.qc.ca .
The Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau cordially invites you to the 9th edition of the Montreal Bicycle Show, which runs from February 18 to 20, 2011, at Place Bonaventure in Montreal. Stop by the Fondation kiosk to find out more about the CIBC Charles-Bruneau Tour. You'll also have the chance to meet our committed cyclists, who'll be glad to share their experiences.
