The Grande Soirée Charles-Bruneau: A night of boldness and mobilization
On February 19, at the Grand Quai in Montreal, more than 750 business leaders and public figures attended the 11th edition of the Grande Soirée Charles-Bruneau, presented by IGA and Uniprix.
A packed hall. The energy was palpable. A community gathered around a common goal: to advance research in pediatric hematology-oncology.
An ode to boldness
This 11th edition was intended as a true ode to boldness, the boldness that has driven Charles and his family since the Foundation’s inception. The boldness of researchers who push the boundaries of science every day. The audacity of partners who choose to invest in ambitious research, right here in Quebec.
The Charles-Bruneau Foundation is now the leading funder of pediatric hematology-oncology research in Quebec, with more than $150 million invested thanks to its new $50 million commitment for 2025-2030.
Each edition of the Grande soirée is part of this trajectory. Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $3.8 million for children with cancer in Quebec.
Committed partners, a concrete impact
The honorary co-chairs were Mireille Thibodeau, Vice President, Marketing—Quebec at Sobeys, and Érick Gagné, President and CEO of Proxim and Uniprix.
Their involvement, like that of the organizing committee and numerous partners, demonstrates a strong commitment to the cause.
Behind every table, every sponsorship, every auction, there is a clear goal: to give children the best chance of recovery.

Memorable encounters
In an elegant and vibrant setting, where every encounter was a source of inspiration, the evening was hosted by four inspiring young women: Rania, Florence, Annie, and Léa. Guests also had the opportunity to meet Sofia, a young woman undergoing cancer treatment. Thank you to these women for adding their touch of magic to the event.
The Grande Soirée is not just a business gathering. It is a space where solidarity takes shape, where commitments translate into action, where generosity becomes a driver of innovation.
