Meet the heroes and heroines of the 25th edition of the 24h Tremblant!

The sponsored children of the 24h Tremblant are at the heart of this event, embodying its cause and driving force. As ambassadors, they demonstrate the importance and impact of a charitable event like this one. For the 2025 edition, we are honored to introduce Bruce, Clément, Éliakim, and ÈVE, children of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation.

Bruce

On July 30, 2024, Bruce’s world and that of his parents turned upside down. On that day, this cheerful little boy, just 3 years old, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, type B.

Within days, the busy routine of a curious and active child was replaced by weekly treatments, long hospital stays, and entire days at home. Immunotherapy even forced him to stay hooked up at all times, carrying a small bag of medication with him, like an invisible companion helping him get better.

The hardest part? Not being able to visit his friends at daycare, being unable to play with them. He often said, “Mom, when I’m done fighting the bad guys… will we be able to go back to daycare to see my friends?”

Bruce, endearing, generous, and funny, is a comedian with a tender heart, always ready to make those around him laugh. He loves dancing to “Cold Heart,” can’t wait to go back to Funtropolis, and dreams of visiting Disney, or one day taking a ride on a garbage truck—his greatest passion!!!

Clément

It was in 2020 that Clément’s and his family’s lives were turned upside down. He was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma, transforming the daily life of a little boy who was only 3 years old.

What followed was a long stay in the hospital, far from home, far from his big brother Éli, whom he adores, and far from his friends at daycare. For Clément, the hardest part wasn’t so much the treatments—even though they were intense—but rather the separation, the lack of games and shared laughter with his brother. Being in the hospital every day, unable to run, play, or even go outside, was like being trapped in a bubble.

And yet, despite all that, Clément remained calm, strong, and funny. Funny like that little slogan he’d shout with enthusiasm, like a rallying cry to face the disease: “Let’s go coconut!”

Clément is now 8 years old and in complete remission. He’s making the most of all the things he loves to do: riding his scooter, jumping on the trampoline, or playing ball.

He loves dogs, the color blue, and video games. He dreams of becoming a mechanic… and his dearest wish is to take a trip to Italy! Sweet and affectionate, Clément is the kind of person who leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

Éliakim

Éliakim, 9 years old, has the energy of a little campfire—one that never goes out, even when the wind blows hard.

He lives with his family—his brother Isaac and his sister Maëva—in a rural setting surrounded by sheep, rabbits, his dog Coconut… and lots of love.

Ever since he was very little, he has loved climbing, running, training, and being active. He is a funny, imaginative, and resourceful child. In January 2024, however, Éliakim was forced to slow down when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Several times a week, he visits the Charles-Bruneau Cancer Unit at the Sherbrooke University Hospital. The hospital walls become part of his daily life, and hospital visits follow one after another, but fortunately, he can be treated in his region, which makes things much easier for his family.

During the first nine months of treatment, complications mounted: acute pancreatitis, a stay in intensive care, significant weight loss, rehabilitation, transfusions, and a ban on going to school or visiting public places. Even running became impossible.

Éliakim and his family never stopped believing that he would regain the freedom to run and climb. Today, even though he still can’t go swimming with his friends, he’s back in school, regaining his strength, and dreaming of all the things he loves and will soon be able to do again.

Ève

It was in the middle of winter 2024 that Ève sensed something was wrong. She, who skied with passion and competed with determination, began to feel sharp pains in her back. For a while, she kept going, despite the pain, until she had no choice but to stop.

On February 15, a visit to the family doctor, an X-ray… and her daily life was turned upside down. Several of her vertebrae were fractured. So her parents rushed her to Sainte-Justine University Hospital. After tests and two days of uncertainty, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

The first 35 days in the hospital were the hardest. Chemotherapy, pain, loss of mobility… but Ève held on. Amid it all, she continues to move forward. She’s back in school. She cooks almost every meal at home. She dreams of skiing, mountain biking, traveling, and swimming.

Today, she is gradually resuming the sports she loves, hoping to compete in skiing again soon. In a maintenance phase, her chemotherapy appointments are every three weeks until the end of treatment, scheduled for April 2026.

Ève is this endearing and brilliant 12-year-old girl who shows great maturity, which makes her admirable in the eyes of her family and friends, who adore her!

It is for children like Bruce, Clément, Éliakim, and Ève that the participants in the 24h Tremblant will give their all from December 12 to 14. Together, for a childhood free of cancer!
