$2,340,159 raised for children thanks to the 24h Tremblant

The Fondation Charles-Bruneau owes a great debt of gratitude to the organizers, donors and participants for their role in making the 20th edition of the 24h Tremblant a success.

For the past 18 years, the Fondation Charles-Bruneau has been privileged to be the principal beneficiary of the 24h Tremblant; a charitable event overseen by the 24h Tremblant Foundation that brings a great deal of hope to children and their families. Once again this year, despite the pandemic, the organization has dedicated itself, in virtual and real life, to making a difference in the lives of many families.

Indeed, this 20th remote edition connected people from all over Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and even Thailand. From December 4 to 6, 2020, the 1,620 participants solicited donations from people in their networks and took turns moving in the 24-hour distance relay. The energy deployed by each participant was palpable, and it allowed them to surpass the ambitious initial objective of $2 million!

Visibly touched by all this solidarity, the Executive Director of the Fondation Charles-Bruneau, Rébecca Dumont, said: “Every dollar raised is precious, especially this year. Donations will allow us to help researchers and oncologists at the four Centres Charles-Bruneau across Quebec to cure more and better the 2,000 children currently fighting cancer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the 24h Tremblant organizers, to the many donors and partners as well as to the entire 24h community.”

“Through this unique edition, participants from all regions redoubled their efforts to be creative in order to physically surpass themselves and their fundraising goals. The spirit of solidarity resonated even louder and brought out some extraordinary emotional moments. Beyond achieving our goal, it’s incredible to see how the community united from Quebec to Thailand for the great cause of children,” commented Simon St-Arnaud, executive producer of the 24h Tremblant.

Several participants and teams excelled in their enthusiasm and generosity. You can follow the rankings of the fundraising efforts here.

It’ s confirmed, the 21st edition will be held on December 10, 11 and 12, 2021. Looking forward to get together on Tremblant’s mountain to reach new heights!
