When collaboration saves lives

For 35 years, the Charles-Bruneau Foundation has been supporting research on childhood cancers at all stages, from prevention to survival, including diagnosis and treatment. The Foundation’s strength lies in its ability to bring together Quebec’s four major university hospitals specializing in pediatric oncology: the Montreal Children’s Hospital, CHU Sainte-Justine, CHU de Québec-Université Laval, and CIUSSS de l’Estrie CHUS.

But the Foundation does more than just provide funding. It builds bridges, encourages collaboration, and fosters a true team spirit in the service of children and their future, with the goal of offering all children in Quebec with cancer the same chances of recovery.

“No matter where the child is located in Quebec, there is always flexibility. Things move really quickly because we have developed this reflex to work together,” “ says Dr. Catherine Goudie, pediatric hematologist-oncologist and clinical researcher in oncogenetics at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. ”Whether you’re in Sherbrooke, Quebec City, at the Children’s or at CHU Sainte-Justine, children receive the same treatment. That’s the strength of this collaboration. Thanks to the Foundation, we have been able to rise up and unite,” she adds.

It is precisely this remarkable teamwork, made possible by the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, that we invite you to discover in the following video (video in french).
